DHANAPALA'S ROVERS AND SCOUTS ENTERTAINING THE BOY SCOUT OF AMERICA WITH INDONESIAN TRADITIONAL DANCE



Learning traditional culture such as traditional dance is a basic skill that should be learned by all members in Dhanapala Scout Troop. At this visit, their skill become very useful to entertain their new friends from Boy Scout of America.
This time, the girl scouts and rover scouts show their ability in traditional dancing of Indonesia with their scout uniform and sober costumes.

There were three kinds of Indonesian traditional dance that shown to their new friends from America :

  • "Lenggang Nyai", a traditional dance from Jakarta
  • "Saman", a traditional dance from Aceh
  • "Tari Ondel-ondel", a traditional dance from Jakarta
